Hello PSL Newsletter Port St. Lucie's weekly local briefing Your Weekly Briefing for Port St. Lucie, Florida | Friday, October 2, 2026 · Issue #14 | Good Morning, PSL PSL Keeps Growing -- And Keeps Your Tax Bill Shrinking Neighbors, this is one of those weeks where the numbers do the talking. None of that is flashy. All of it matters. Here's what's actually happening around PSL this week, plus where to eat, what to do, and a totally unserious look at what might happen if the gators started ringing doorbells. | PSL Week Ahead | Day | Conditions | High / Low | Rain | | Wed, Sep 30 | Rain | 84° / 73° | 38% rain | | Thu, Oct 1 | Rain | 80° / 73° | 43% rain | | Fri, Oct 2 | Thunderstorms | 89° / 73° | 50% rain | | Sat, Oct 3 | Thunderstorms | 79° / 77° | 52% rain | | Sun, Oct 4 | Light showers | 88° / 78° | 51% rain | | Mon, Oct 5 | Rain | 90° / 76° | 75% rain | | Tue, Oct 6 | Thunderstorms | 87° / 76° | 83% rain |

| The lead story this week | MedSquare Port St. Lucie Sells for $16.3 Million, Fully Leased to Cleveland Clinic MedSquare Port St. Lucie just changed hands in a $16.3 million sale to Anchor Health Properties. The buyer isn't taking on any risk here: Cleveland Clinic has expanded its commitment to occupy the entire 68,000-square-foot medical office building. Delivery is expected in late 2027, which means this is a multi-year bet on PSL's growth from one of the most recognized names in healthcare. When Cleveland Clinic wants the whole building, that's a statement about where they think this city is headed. For residents, this is another data point in a pattern we keep seeing: serious institutional money is willing to plant a flag here for the long haul, not just flip a property and move on. What it means for PSL: A major healthcare investment just locked in for the long term -- more specialized medical access is coming to PSL, and it's backed by one of the biggest names in the business. | DEVELOPMENT Buc-ee's Inches Closer to Breaking Ground FDOT permits are approved and a minor site plan has been resubmitted for the long-anticipated Buc-ee's near the I-95 interchange. County planners say site plan approval could come by year's end, which would clear the way for construction on the 76,000-square-foot, 120-pump travel center. Our take: No new news this week, exactly, but enough neighbors ask about this one that it earns a standing mention until shovels are actually in the ground. Read More → |

| A new AI-imagined PSL every week — something you won't find anywhere else | What If... Every Doorbell Cam in PSL Started Catching Gators Ringing In? Real trend right now: alligators across Florida getting caught on doorbell cameras just... ringing the bell and waiting. We hyperlocalized it. - Ring notifications go from "package delivered" to "large reptile requests entry, please advise."
- HOA boards debate whether a doorbell-ringing gator counts as a "guest" or a "code violation."
- Golf cart traffic on The Cascades slows to a crawl every time one struts across the path like it owns the neighborhood (it kind of does).
- Snowbirds start leaving gators a welcome mat, because apparently that's just how we do things down here now.
- Publix installs a "no reptiles, no shirt, no shoes" sign right under the regular one.
- Local weather guy works a gator cameo into the hurricane forecast for ratings, because why not.
- Florida Man tries to interview one for content; gator says nothing, still gets more engagement than Florida Man's last three videos combined.
Got a weirder idea for what PSL should reimagine next week? Hit reply -- we might just build it. |
| Growth doesn't have to mean growing pains -- this week PSL proved you can build big and still cut the tax bill. That's the kind of math we like around here. Forward this to a neighbor who wants the useful PSL stuff without the noise. See you next week, PSL. |
